Stay in Ayamonte north next to the Isla Canela Links Golf Course with the beautiful views of the Guadiana river and Portugal in the community of Costa Esuri.
Isla Canela Links is a well designed course with beautiful views of the Guadiana river and Portugal. Every year it hosts the DP Tour 2nd stage qualifier (European PGA Tour) and the Challenge Tour.
It has a relatively flat but challenging from nine and the back nine opens up to a more "links" style golf course. All and all great experience with good greens all year round.
Isla Canela Old Course is situated on the other side of Ayamonte next to the Hotel Isla Canela. Also a flat layout with beautiful views along the channels of Isla Canela.
Another great option to play while staying here is Quinta Do Vale just across the bridge on the Portuguese side of the Guadiana river. It is a really challenging and well designed course(Seve Ballesteros design). The first 10 holes are flat but then as the course winds up out of the valley it creates some marvelous views back towards Spain.
